Church Planting

Jabez Phiri one of the ministry’s long standing evangelists has been involved for almost 20 years. Jabez has a passion for planting churches and church leadership. As pastor for PAOG Church he is the Worship Pastor as well as the Mission’s Pastor for his church and oversees several missions team of different churches for the PAOG.

Working alongside the PAOG, planting churches, raising leadership, and starting community schools;

  • Working with the mission’s teams and his disciples Jabez is actively involved in planting churches in both rural and urban centres adopting the Win, Build, Send plan. They start with evangelism and grow into discipleship and leadership development in the new church. Having teams of people working with them they are able to spend extended time with new churches, then have people visit the new church every week and grow the new congregation, not only in numbers but maturity. Within twelve months of being started that new church will have planted a daughter church. Then within two years that church will be doing some sort of community outreach programme, usually a preschool.
  • The preschool is a way of making a change in the community. Simply by assisting the young children and teaching them literacy and numeracy it increases their chances of going on to school, doing well and passing.
  • There is a need especially in rural areas where the distances to school can be quite far and it is hard for small children to travel the distance, so when they start school they are much older. This becomes embarrassing to be in Grade One and unable to read when mates in much higher grades are reading as they were able to attend school from a young age. This especially crucial in girls as we often see the man of the mother in the villages unable to read.
  • For $150/month we can feed and teach 50 children 3 days/week
  • Operation Lift help shift containers every year, we receive books and other education materials. Often the books that come are the only books the children have.
  • $300/month will keep Jabez leading his team as they plant churches, develop leaders and reach the community
  • $5500 buys all the materials to build a permanant school building
  • If you have a heart to come on a mission’s trip and get involved with the children – you will be a part of making a difference.

A passion for training pastors;

  • Jabez’s heart for leadership and development can help open the door.
