Elijah loves being a coach and has several teams who he coaches and inspires by what he has achieved and this leads him to train others. He also trains other coaches.

Training Life Coaches

Working along side OM and other sports evangelism programmes we have been training Life Coaches and trainers of Life Coaches across several countries – Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

Reach the youth through football and providing that male figure in their life

It is a simple passion – Africans love football or as others call it – soccer. Combining this passion with a structured mentoring/discipleship results in reaching the youth in a meaningful life changing way. A big percentage of these youths grow up with out a biblical based father figure. So this goes beyond a youth group and sports team but to a mentoring and discipleship role based on relationship – but using sport as the common interest.

During the training in Malawi the team worked with a young Muslim team and through the process of Life Coaching they were presented with the Gospel. Every member of that team received Christ that day right there on the pitch.

Elijah’s teams meet regularly for games with other Life Coach’s teams and it has been a great outreach to many children with many parents asking how they can get involved or how can their children can join as they see the life changes of the youths involved.
